					Shop this antique ornithological bird art print for sale. R.P. Noder inscribes this original hand-colored print with initials and date in the print. Frederick Polydore Nodder (fl. 1770 – c. 1800) was an English illustrator, engraver, and painter who worked in the early nineteenth century. Nodder illustrated the magazine The Naturalist’s Miscellany, published by George Shaw. He also assisted Joseph Banks in the preparation of the Banks’ Florilegium. He transformed most of Sydney Parkinson’s Australian plant sketches from the Endeavour trip into paintings and assisted with the engraving of the paintings to be published. He created the illustrations for the first scientific description of the duck-billed platypus to be published.
