The sheets reverse with a Library of Congress hand stamp on the verso. The original photograph negative, dated March 1939. This silver gelatin photograph dates to the 1960s. The back of the sheet with pencil notations and inscribed and with Wolcott’s signature, title, negative date, and her collection and printing notations, in pencil, on verso, as “Mar ’39 Wolcott, Miami Beach.” The series of works taken by Wolcott entitled June in January, Miami Beach, are similar to this work. The black and white photograph depicting people going for a stroll on a warm sunny day in Florida. Her images from this trip are wonderfully classic images of Miami Beach taken during the 1930s and are iconic American images taken by an Iconic American photographer.
