					Shop this Rembrandt van Rijn self-portrait in a cap laughing etching for sale. The antique print after Rembrandt’s same-titled print from 1630. cf. Bartsch 316. Rembrandt painted approximately 40 self-portraits and etched 30 portraits. Rembrandts portraits resemble himself in nondescript backgrounds. This etching depicts Rembrandt in a lighthearted and joyous spirit. It stands as a reverse plate to the original version of this etching circa 1630. The etching comes to us from a deaccessioned museum collection. 
									Dimensions
					The sheet measures 2.25 x 2 inches.
									Condition
					The sheet displays toning and staining, with taped edges on the reverse—the sheet’s back with inventory numbers from previous collections. The margin edges have been unevenly trimmed.
