Founded in 1953 by the Lladro family in Valencia Spain, this figurine manufactured by the Lladro company was initially issued in 1970 and was retired in 1986, making it is rare and collectible Lladro figurine. The underside mark displays Llardo’s modern-day signature markings that resemble the modern markings that most collectors are most familiar with. This logo additionally places a specific date of manufacture in reference to the historical logos used by Lladro, which in this instance include the “Lladro made in Spain” stamp with a bellflower graphic design. This handcrafted figurine also displays hand-carved or incised catalog numbers 16A and 4 with an additional number of 96.
