Shop this drawing of Children from the Victorian Era. This Victorian-era drawing of children in the forest is entitled “The Lizard.” The scene depicts children in the forest startled by a lizard. This drawing was part of a collection of British drawings found in the late family estate of a noted British artist. While the drawing is unsigned, we cannot state this work by the artist or attribute it to the artist; however, given the source of the material, we estimate this work to be of the period. This work is assumed to have been copied or traced from another work, presumably an engraving or etching of the Victorian era—graphite drawing on a paper card.
