							Product Information
Shop this Chinese Blue And White Porcelain DishThis dish was created at the end of the Qing dynasty, circa the Guangxu (1875-1908) or Xuantong (1909-1912) imperial eras. The underside markings Man Tang Fu Ji signify the porcelain studio in which it was created. This dish features one of the most well-known themes depicted in Chinese porcelain and blue and white porcelain wares—the dragon chasing the flaming pearl in the clouds. The dragon symbolized the imperial power of the emperor. The dragon is also painted using a brush technique with five toes. Five toe dragons are also symbolic of the Chinese imperial dynasties in Chinese art.
