Handmade trinket box, Staffordshire china porcelain 19th-century Victorian era, in the form of a dresser or Bureau with an equestrian theme, of a horse rider decorated with dressing objects on the box top.
China fairing has found that most pieces were made in Germany manufactured by Conta and Boehme; some extend to a code or number underside, this trinket box does not. Many works similar to the work above not containing such identification came from Austria, England, the Netherlands, and France. Sometimes referred to as patch boxes, or ” boite a mouches” as these pieces were known in France. Most commonly, these works boxes are now known as Victorian trinket boxes.
The themes used in these boxes are common in the manner of a dressing table adorned by children, animals, such as cats, kittens, and other figural styles and depictions.

Condition
With abrasions, edge fritting, wear to gilt decoration, and possible small repair on the bottle tip, overall presentable, and the condition is consistent with age.
