Shop this Japanese metal ojime bead. The bead is dated to the 19th century of the Meiji period. This bead is a form of a reticulated vase or barrel with exterior relief molded decoration. The interior layer of the bead displays calligraphy inscription with floral ornamented design, creating the appearance of looking into the object. The contrast of color also presents a variety of transitions between a metal or silver color and a gold or gilt copper tone.
