The planter is decorated with flambe and oxblood glaze with hints of Japanese raku stoneware glaze with deconstructed fragmented panels and ribbons and ceramic stoneware patches. Creating a rich texture of ripped walls of the vessel.

The two-handled design with hints of the ancient Greek Skyphos two-handled wine cup style form. The underside of the planter with hand incised initials “RNS.” wonderfully unique hand made ceramic planter that borrows from many elements and traditions of pottery and ceramics and incorporates them into a functional contemporary art pottery vessel ideal for small plants or simply as a vibrant decoration.
