Shop this Palis Des Beaux Arts decorative plate for sale. Dated to the 19th century, this french wall plate idea for capturing the essence of French provincial. The transfer decorated plate with a landscape image of The Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, a museum dedicated to fine arts, modern art, and antiquities and one of the largest art museums in France.
The plate further features a cream-white ground, and the edge of the plate features a thick yellow glazed rim with black lines. Referred to as creil-montereau faience, the plate features a lead-glazed earthenware made in the French communes of Creil, Oise, and of Montereau. Creil ware sought to emulate the creamware of Wedgwood and is a wonderful addition to a variety of interior decor styles.
