Lion symbol trinket box. The box dates to the nineteenth century, the lion depicted on the box’s top cover in relief decoration. The box is traditionally used as a match safe and molded in traditional yellowware; however, the box serves as an appropriate trinket box or as a home accent as a table ornament, with various molded scrollwork and gilt decorated worn highlights.
