This Japanese Yoshida Hiroshi Woodblock Print for sale entitled Morning of Darjeeling is dated to 1931. Composed on ivory wove paper, this original signed and inscribed Japanese woodblock print is a scenic landscape from Yoshida’s Indian and Southeast Asian landscape scenes.
A soft and colorful original Japanese art print dating to the early Showa era. Japanese painter and printmaker Yoshida is considered one of the Showa era’s greatest artists in the Shin-Hanga style, along with fellow artists Hasui Kawase and Takahashi Shotei. A wonderful woodblock print by a great artist of the 20th century Shin-Hanga school. Full of soft, vibrant color, framed and ready for display.

The framed print measures 10.25 inches by 12.5 inches, the visible print measures 5 inches by 7.25 inches.
Condition
The visible print displays minor toning and light foxing to the sheet. The frame with light abrasions and the reverse mounting hooks have been removed. The print is mounted in between two adhered matting sheets.
